That "one more thing"....

You know that "one more thing" that tips you over the edge and sends you screaming out of house like your pants are on fire?
It has arrived.

First I thought it was just the extra company over Thanksgiving.
Then I thought it was the insane hour of the morning that we have been getting up to workout everyday.
I thought maybe it was the impending crush of Christmas activities.
Then I thought it definitely had to be the bladder, to be decided kidney infection, my littlest is currently fighting.

But now...just right now...I realized it is ALL of it.
I love this time of year.
I do...I keep telling myself.
But today it is feeling like "one more thing."

I am putting on a pot of coffee and the brakes.
Will there be lights on the house this year?
Probably not.
I'm busy rocking my baby girl that doesn't feel well.
Will I make amazingness for all those I love with my own two hands?
Probably not.
But I will make sure that all the amazing people I know feel my love for them.

I know, I know...you're thinking, "lady, it's not even December yet....you just need to chillax or something."

It's true...I do.

That's why I am putting on the brakes...right...now.
Wish me luck friends...and welcome December...the jolliest month of the year.

The fine art of making a pie...

When my three girls grow up and leave my house someday I want them to enter the world as prepared as they can be.  I want them to have as many tools in their toolbox of life skills as possible to take on whatever comes their way.  One of the most important skills you can have is knowing how to make a pie.  They don't have to love cooking.  They just need to know how to make a pie.  Other wise known as "how to woe a man." Everyone knows the way to a man's heart is spelled p-i-e.

Little lady....

Our littlest lady...
18 months old...
I love this age so much it hurts.
