My favorite thing to watch grow in the garden this year has been the artichokes...
they are so structural...deeply colored...beautiful.
And then there are the brussel sprouts...just little baby buds right now...
soon to be roasted with olive oil, salt, pepper...
my kiddos may not properly enjoy the taste of brussel sprouts...
but they WILL know how they grow!
The pumpkin patch...
taking over every spare inch of ground.
Sunflowers...ever worshiping the sun.
Our ever generous strawberry patch...
She's been quite generous already this summer...
this sweet little patch of land.
Broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, lettuce, beets, herbs, strawberries already gobbled up.
Just starting to come on are the tomatoes and cucumbers...glorious, delicious (unlike the bitter things we grew last year) cucumbers!
The eggplant, green beans, peppers, artichokes, carrots, potatoes and brussel sprouts are working hard...soaking up the sun and soil.
The wild flower garden put on quite a show this year.
Packets of seeds just thrown out and then watered...
It's amazing what a little sunshine and water can do...
wow! Your garden is amazing!! I want to see it from the kitchen deck... to see how big it really is... it looks huge from the picture! :) well done, there mama earth! :)
