I've had some really interesting jobs over the past 32 years of my life. One of my previous lives was as a baker. I would go to work at 4:00am and do the morning bake for a small bakery that specialized in wedding cakes, then head off to college just in time for my 8:00am class. I would bake that days muffins, pastries, cookies, cup cakes and such. I would also get to take the day olds that had not sold and share with my teachers...I got great grades that year. There were always cakes in process sitting in the cooler that cost between $600.00- $1,000.00 and I would oh....so.....carefully walk around when taking product in and out of the cooler. I had nightmares about accidentally bumping into one and watching in slow motion as a thousand dollars worth of cake hit the floor. Today's baking experience...pure fun. For Mrs. Middleton's preschool class, Audra's is supplying the cookies. I think that kid might actually enjoy this holiday even more than Christmas due to the pink, red, and hearts all over theme. Now...off to glitter some Valentines....
Beautiful pics! I love the nightmares you had about the cakes. That is SO me. I have had ridiculous dreams about every single job that I've had, right down the line. (Have you ever found the turn-off switch for your brain? I haven't.)
